Supporting Our Community: Free Resume Reviews & the Community Resume Project

One of the most rewarding parts of running McLamb Consulting & Support is the opportunity to give back to the same community that supports my work. This month, I’m especially proud to highlight two ongoing efforts designed to help individuals feel more confident in their career journeys — the Community Resume Project and my free resume review program for veterans.

The Community Resume Project is a simple idea with a big impact: creating accessible spaces where local job seekers can receive one-on-one resume feedback, job-search guidance, and document support at no cost. These events are designed to be encouraging and practical — no pressure, no judgment, just helpful insight to make your resume shine.

Each session focuses on:

• Strengthening formatting and presentation

• Highlighting key skills and achievements

• Offering tailored recommendations for job goals

• Building confidence in how you represent yourself on paper

  
  

In addition to community sessions, I’m continuing to offer free virtual resume reviews for veterans. As a veteran myself, I understand how challenging it can be to translate military experience into civilian terms. These reviews provide a supportive space to make that process easier and more effective.

Both programs are part of my larger goal to connect people with the tools and resources they need to succeed — regardless of background or budget.
