I founded the Community Résumé Review Project to make practical career support more accessible to the people who need it. Through free community résumé review events and partnerships with local organizations, this initiative provides welcoming, judgment-free assistance to job seekers at different stages of their careers.

How It Works
Three Simple Steps Toward Your Next Opportunity
Participating in the Community Résumé Review Project is easy! Whether you're preparing for your first job, transitioning careers, or updating a résumé you haven't touched in years, the process is designed to be approachable, supportive, and completely free at participating events.
1. Find an Event & Register
Check the upcoming events section for available résumé review opportunities. Complete the participant registration form to express your interest and receive event information.
2. Bring Your Résumé
Bring a current résumé, if you have one, along with any questions about your work experience, skills, or career goals. Don't have a résumé yet? You're still welcome to participate.
3. Receive Personalized Feedback
During your approximately 15–20-minute review, we'll discuss ways to improve your résumé's clarity, organization, and presentation. You'll leave with practical suggestions you can apply as you prepare for your next opportunity.

Interested in Hosting an Event?
I welcome partnerships with libraries, colleges, community centers, nonprofits, workforce organizations, and other community groups.
I'll coordinate the review process, participant check-in, and supporting materials. Host organizations help by providing a suitable space, tables and chairs, and community outreach.
What Happens on Event Day?
The process is simple: check in, meet with a reviewer for a 15–20-minute résumé review, ask questions, and leave with practical recommendations and resources to help you take your next step.

1. Is the résumé review really free?
Yes! Résumé reviews offered through designated Community Résumé Review Project events are completely free for participants. The purpose of this initiative is to make practical career support more accessible to the community.
4. Do I need to register in advance?
Advance registration is encouraged because it helps with event planning and participant scheduling. Registration requirements and availability may vary depending on the event and hosting organization.
2. Do I need an existing résumé to participate?
Not necessarily! If you already have a résumé, I encourage you to bring a printed or digital copy for review. If you're starting from scratch, you're still welcome to participate and discuss how to begin organizing your experience, education, and skills.
5. Will you rewrite my entire résumé during the event?
No. These events focus on personalized feedback, practical recommendations, and career guidance rather than complete résumé-writing services.
You'll receive suggestions you can use to improve your résumé independently. More extensive résumé development services are available separately through McLamb Consulting & Support.
3. How long does each résumé review take?
Individual review sessions typically last approximately 15–20 minutes. During that time, we'll focus on your most pressing questions and identify practical ways to strengthen your résumé.
6. Can my organization host a Community Résumé Review Project event?
Absolutely! I welcome opportunities to collaborate with community organizations, libraries, educational institutions, nonprofits, and workforce development programs.
